Cookie Policy

Effective date: 15 October 2026

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and then send back on later visits, which is how a site recognises a returning browser. Similar technologies do the same job by other means — storing data in the browser, loading a tiny tracking image, or deriving a signature from your browser's settings.

K.1 What we checked

Each technology below was checked against what idlefacet.online actually serves.

Cookies set by this site
Not used. Idle Facet sets no first-party cookies of any kind, including session cookies and preference cookies.
Cookies set by others through this site
Not used. No third party is loaded on these pages, so no third party is in a position to set a cookie through them. There are no analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social sharing buttons or embedded videos.
localStorage
Not used. Nothing is written to the browser's local storage, which is why the checklists do not remember which boxes you ticked.
sessionStorage
Not used. Nothing is written for the duration of a tab either.
IndexedDB
Not used. No database is created in your browser.
Tracking pixels
Not used. No invisible image, beacon or conversion tag is loaded from any page here.
Browser fingerprinting
Not used. No script here reads your fonts, screen, canvas, hardware or settings in order to derive an identifier.
Web fonts and third-party scripts
Not used. The site uses the typefaces already on your device and the only script it loads is a short first-party file served from idlefacet.online. There is no content delivery network, no tag manager and no widget.
Server access logs
Used. This is the single entry on this page that is in use, and it is described in the next section.

K.2 Why there is no banner

Consent banners exist so that a site can ask permission before storing something on your device. Idle Facet stores nothing, so there is nothing to ask about. Putting up a banner here would create the impression that a choice is being made when none is, which would be untrue — so there is not one.

K.3 What does happen

When your browser asks our hosting provider's web server for a page, the server writes a line in its access log. That line records the IP address, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sent one, and the user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure, they are kept for 30 days and then deleted, and nothing else happens. The full account is in the Privacy Policy, which this page is consistent with.

The checklists in the course are printed squares in a list, not controls. There is no localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, fingerprinting or pixel behind them, and reloading the page returns it to exactly the state you first saw.

K.4 After you follow an affiliate link

Some pages carry a paid affiliate link, explained on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Following one takes you to a different website. Once you are there, World of Warships and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains, typically to record that the referral came from here. F-Global s.r.o. does not control that, cannot switch it off, and does not see what is stored. Their own cookie and privacy notices are the place to check what they do.

K.5 Blocking or clearing cookies yourself

Every current browser lets you see what has been stored, delete it, and refuse future cookies. The controls are generally found in the browser's settings, under a heading about privacy, security or site data, where you will usually find options to clear browsing data, to block third-party cookies, and to set rules for particular sites. Your browser's own help pages give the exact wording for the version you are running. Nothing on Idle Facet will stop working if you block cookies, since none is set here.

K.6 If this ever changes

If cookies or any similar technology are ever introduced on idlefacet.online, this page will be rewritten to describe them and a working consent mechanism will be in place before the first cookie is set — not afterwards, and not as a notice you can only dismiss. We will not list a cookie here that does not exist, and we will not claim one is absent if it is not.
